27:2. য়োথম প্রভুর অভিপ্রায় অনুসারে তাঁর পিতা উষিযর মতোই ঈশ্বরকে অনুসরণ করতেন| কিন্তু তিনি কখনও তাঁর পিতা উষিযর মতো প্রভুর মন্দিরে ঢুকে ধুপধূনো দেবার দুঃসাহস প্রকাশ করেন নি| কিন্তু তা সত্ত্বেও লোকেরা পাপাচরণ করে যেতে লাগলো|

27:2. He did what the LORD approved, just as his father Uzziah had done. (He did not, however, have the audacity to enter the temple.) Yet the people were still sinning.

27:2. Jotham did what was pleasing in the LORD's sight. He did everything his father, Uzziah, had done, except that Jotham did not sin by entering the Temple of the LORD. But the people continued in their corrupt ways.

27:2. Jotham did what the Lord wanted him to do. He obeyed God just as his father Uzziah had done. But Jotham did not enter the Lord's Temple to burn incense as his father had. But the people continued doing wrong.
